Nearly 1,000 artists participate in the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival

The Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) informed that the first phase of the National Music and Dance Festival - 2024 will take place in Vinh Phuc province from September 7 to 16 with the participation of nearly 1,000 artists from 13 units across the country.

These are professional music and dance art units inside and outside the public sector; music and dance art units belonging to the armed forces; symphony, music, and dance art units inside and outside the public sector nationwide.

Each unit will participate in a program or play lasting from 60 to 110 minutes, with a variety of music and dance genres or Western art forms: symphony, musical, oratorio, Broadway (contemporary musical), opera, vocal music (songs, suites, epics, choirs), instrumental music (music genres for symphony orchestra, folk orchestra, electronic orchestra or combination of different musical groups), dance drama (dance drama), dance poetry, dance suites, short dance works.

The Organizing Committee encourages programs, performances, and plays participating in the festival to carry the cultural identity of ethnic groups, regions, and areas, demonstrating the richness and diversity of art.

The 2nd National Music and Dance Festival 2024 is scheduled for the end of September 2024, at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention Center.
