In January 2023, taking on the task of Party Secretary of Ea Kly commune, the concern of the head of the commune Party Committee was how to develop the rural area with 13% ethnic minorities, 24 villages, over 22,000 people to match its potential and strengths. The Party Committee of the commune advocates "shaking up" the working style and rectifying the working methods of cadres, civil servants and public employees; assigning and assigning responsibilities to each Party Committee member, staying close to the locality and the people with the motto of "thinking, walking, talking and doing" at the grassroots level, creating real solidarity within the Party Committee and consensus among the people.
The commune Party Committee currently has 789 members operating in 36 affiliated Party cells. In recent times, the Party Committee has focused on leading the construction of new rural areas, exploiting the potential and advantages of socio-economic development, achieving many clear and substantial results.
The Party Committee and the leader set an example and took the lead, so the changes were obvious. Therefore, the Ea Kly Commune Party Committee has gathered the collective strength and consensus of the people towards long-term, fundamental and sustainable development. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and cadres and civil servants were assigned to the villages and hamlets to promptly resolve arising issues. Success from determination and action
It has been a long time since we returned to Ea Kly, we clearly felt the prosperity and changes every day in the poor countryside of the past. Along the way to the commune center, there were lush green rice fields, coffee plots, durian, lychee, and endless green fruit trees interspersed with solid, solidly built houses next to each other, each house had a spacious cement yard for drying agricultural products and daily activities.
Ea Kly continues to develop agriculture, promote the conversion of crops and livestock; effectively maintain cooperatives such as: Growing early ripening lychee in village 12A; Growing rice in village 4A; milling factories consuming and producing rice ST24, ST 25 Hue Luong, Dua Hoa, Hai Hoan...; Bird's nest Thien Hoa, Nguyet Toi... From there, leading, supporting, contributing to the completion of annual socio-economic targets.
According to Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Nam, the commune's economy has maintained a fairly good growth rate, especially the construction of new rural areas has been implemented drastically and synchronously. Up to now, the whole commune has 95% of the commune's main roads asphalted and concreted; 95.27% of the village and hamlet main roads hardened; 100% of households have access to electricity; the average income is 62.29 million VND/person/year; the number of poor households is only 0.76%. The political system is increasingly consolidated, security and defense are ensured; education, health, culture and sports have achieved many achievements, well meeting the needs of the people. Currently, the commune has achieved 16/19 criteria for advanced new rural areas.
Comrade Hoang Huu Triet, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said that Party building work has been focused on, focusing on planning, training, and arranging a reasonable staff from the commune to the villages and hamlets, doing a good job of creating resources and developing the Party; focusing on many solutions to improve the quality of Party cell activities, building a model of "4 Good Party Cells", and innovating towards practical and effective activities.

We visited the house of Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Village 10A Tran Trong Khai. He expressed: "As a Party member, you must set an example for the people to follow." His family currently has 1.2 hectares of durian, coffee, and areca intercropping with an income of about 700 million VND/year. His economic success has spread among the villagers, many households have changed their thinking and working methods, knowing how to apply techniques to production, increasing income and reducing poverty.
Secretary of the Party Cell of Village 5, Nguyen Xuan Khanh, shared that the Party Cell of the village focuses on leading cadres and party members to promote their roles and responsibilities in mobilizing people to actively work in production, strive to change their thinking and working methods, rise up to escape poverty sustainably and gradually become rich. According to him, the most obvious change is that people have changed their thinking and are more active in doing business compared to before.
It can be affirmed that, keeping up with the flow of innovation, continuing the achievements of many generations, the leadership team of the commune here knows how to think ahead, closely follows the direction of the district and province, applies reality to find directions and ways of doing things with determination, overcomes difficulties to build and develop the homeland.
Answering the question of why Ea Kly has many positive and substantial changes, Party Secretary Nguyen Van Ha of the commune confided: “True solidarity is the leading factor, followed by democracy fully implemented at the grassroots level, the exemplary role of cadres, and then all development policies and goals must be rooted in reality, all for the sake of people's lives.
