The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) cited statistics from the General Department of Customs, stating that the export value of wood and wood products from January 1, 2025 to January 15, 2025 reached 738.8 million USD, an increase of 15.6% over the same period in 2024; of which the export value of wood products reached 500.7 million USD, an increase of 18.6% over the same period in 2024.

In the structure of exported wood and wood products in 2024, wooden furniture is always the main export item, accounting for a high proportion. This is also an item that brings high added value to the wood industry, so the export value of this item has grown well, contributing to promoting positive growth in the wood industry.
The export value of wooden furniture in 2024 will reach 10 billion USD, an increase of 22.3% compared to 2023. The export proportion of wooden furniture accounts for 61.6% of the total export value of wood and wood products, an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to 2023.
In addition to wooden furniture, in 2024, a number of other items also recorded positive export growth rates such as: wood chips reached 2.66 billion USD, up 20.7% compared to 2023; wood, boards and flooring reached 2.1 billion USD, up 14.7%; wood pellets reached 796 million USD, up 18.4%; wooden doors reached 60.7 million USD, up 24%...
