Charming opening night of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival

On the evening of March 7, the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2024 with the theme "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai" opened at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1).

Highlights of the opening night, in addition to the attractive art program, the public enjoyed the programs "Ao Dai - Vietnamese Soul, Vietnamese Culture" and "Ao Dai to the World".

The opening night of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival was brilliant on the evening of March 7 at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ho Chi Minh City.

People and tourists can admire more than 800 outstanding Ao Dai designs by 30 famous Ao Dai designers, imbued with national pride and contributing to preserving the quintessence of Vietnamese culture.

The opening night also featured a performance of "The Beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai" performed by the Consuls General and their spouses, contributing to strengthening the friendly cooperation between countries and spreading the beauty of Ao Dai to international friends.

Speaking at the opening event, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has shown a remarkable breakthrough in scale and quality when it was held for the first time in the city center with a series of 11 rich and diverse activities.

According to Mr. Dung, the Ao Dai festival is a unique annual cultural tourism product, inspiring the city's residents and international friends about traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, attracting more and more tourists.

Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will take place from March 7 to 17.

The Ao Dai Festival is organized through a series of activities that directly interact with the community such as: Ao Dai art programs, Ao Dai ensemble performances, Ao Dai competitions. Ao Dai exhibition and interaction spaces are associated with traditional craft villages and performances of intangible cultural and artistic forms...

In particular, there is a program to give Ao Dai to female members and female workers in difficult circumstances.

This year's event also has a strong integration element through the discussion "The beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai and international integration", creating an environment for cultural exchange between countries.
