On February 28, a leader of the Office of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak) said that the City People's Committee is continuing to direct its affiliated units to handle the personal responsibilities involved in the case of a teacher abusing a student at Ly Tu Trong Primary School.
Previously, on February 27, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City reported the incident to the City People's Committee. Accordingly, after receiving information on social networks about teachers at Ly Tu Trong Primary School abusing many students, the Department requested the school to report the incident.
According to the report of Ly Tu Trong Primary School, parents of students reported that Ms. BTTX, the homeroom teacher of class 5D, used a broken wire cover to hit students, used a blackboard eraser to threaten students, and asked students to prepare a crumpled piece of paper and put it in their mouths when they spoke. The remaining contents have no basis for determination.
Ly Tu Trong Primary School, where parents reported a teacher abusing students
After verifying the incident, Ly Trong Primary School temporarily suspended Ms. BTTX from teaching and being the homeroom teacher of class 5D. The school assigned another teacher to be the homeroom teacher of class 5D and teach the class according to the school's plan until the end of the school year.
In addition, the school requested Ms. BTTX to make a report on the incident, and continue to verify to determine the level of Ms. X's violation to handle it according to regulations. The school leaders also met with the parents of the students of class 5D to discuss the incident of the class. After the incident, the school's teaching and learning activities are currently operating normally.
According to information from Ly Tu Trong Primary School, on the afternoon of February 28, the Party Committee and the school's board of directors met to review the behaviors that parents reported about the BTTX teacher.
