Many targets are nearing the finish line
By the end of November 2024, the total outstanding debt at the VBSP was VND 4,637 billion, an increase of 8.34% compared to the end of 2023. Of which, the loan turnover from the beginning of the year to now is nearly VND 1,160 billion, with 23,879 poor households and other policy beneficiaries receiving loans.
Among them, the program for lending to households doing business in difficult areas is among the top with high loan turnover.
In 11 months, the loan turnover of this program was over 265 billion VND, bringing the total outstanding debt to the present time to over 911 billion VND. The timely disbursement of loan capital has helped thousands of households to get preferential loans for development and production.
Many models of getting rich from this preferential loan source such as: developing cultivation, raising livestock, poultry... have been born, contributing to improving the quality of life of the people.
The lending program for poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty has always been prioritized by the provincial Social Policy Bank, with high lending turnover. Since the beginning of the year, the lending turnover for these programs has been over 1,800 billion VND.
In addition, some programs have high loan turnover such as: clean water and environmental sanitation loans reaching nearly 80 billion VND; job creation loan program reaching nearly 60 billion VND, creating new jobs for 2,654 workers...
Along with lending, capital mobilization from organizations, individuals, savings and loan groups has achieved many results. By November 30, 2024, individual and organization deposits reached VND 202 billion, an increase of nearly VND 75 billion compared to 2023, completing 102% of the assigned plan.
Deposits from members of the Savings and Loan Group reached nearly 183 billion VND, completing 100% of the assigned plan. The mobilized capital grew steadily, contributing to the revolving capital source, meeting the local borrowing needs.
Continue to promote outstanding loan growth
To promote the implementation of the set targets, from the beginning of the year, the Social Policy Bank Branch coordinated with localities and socio-political organizations to implement many solutions.
According to Director of the Provincial Social Policy Bank Nguyen Minh Huong, the solution that the unit prioritizes is to review and evaluate families eligible for loans. After reviewing, the unit focuses on completing documents, quickly and promptly disbursing capital sources according to plan.
The local VBSP transaction offices maintain regular operations at the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns. Through entrusted organizations, the unit has established 1,613 Savings and Loan groups at the grassroots level.
From this channel, preferential credit policies are disseminated, implemented democratically and publicly, creating favorable conditions for people to access preferential capital sources.
The Social Policy Bank system coordinates with local authorities to provide advice on production development and guide households in applying science and technology to production and business.
Thanks to that, the policy credit programs implemented by the bank are all highly effective, contributing positively to local poverty reduction.
According to Mr. Huong, there is not much time left in 2024. With the goal of completing all set targets, the unit focuses on many key tasks. In particular, the branch focuses on disbursing a number of loan programs.
Along with loan disbursement, the provincial People's Credit Fund urges transaction offices to continue reducing assigned overdue debts and speed up debt collection. By December 31, 2024, overdue debts are expected to decrease to 0.09% of total outstanding debt.
Regarding capital mobilization, the unit thoroughly instructed each individual in the branch to actively mobilize organizations and individuals with idle money to deposit into the Social Policy Bank, striving to exceed the target set in 2024.
