Ninh Thuan tourism finishes 3 months early

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province, in the first 9 months of 2024, the total number of visitors to the locality reached more than 3.2 million, an increase of 20% over the same period, reaching 100.1% of the plan. Of which, the number of guests staying and relaxing is estimated at 2.3 million, and the number of visitors is estimated at 904 thousand. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 3,662 billion VND.

The number of visitors to Ninh Thuan is mainly domestic with more than 3.11 million arrivals, international visitors are estimated at 87 thousand arrivals (up 194% over the same period, reaching 87% of the year's plan).

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province said that in general, in the past 9 months, tourism and service activities in the province have been improved in quality by businesses, product diversification, friendly attitudes have always been given priority, and ensuring safety for tourists has also been regularly enhanced,... satisfying tourists.

In 2024, Ninh Thuan aims to welcome 3.2 million visitors, of which 100,000 are international visitors. In the coming time, the province will continue to develop the traditional international markets of Russia and Eastern Europe; focus on attracting visitors from Korea, China, and India; target high-end visitors from existing markets, develop new markets with novel tourism products, products with improved quality, etc., thereby completing the above goal of welcoming international visitors.

In addition, Ninh Thuan is also promoting links and cooperation in tourism development with airlines, provinces and cities to build attractive programs, tours and tourist routes to attract tourists.

In December 2024, the 6th Cham Cultural Festival, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province, in coordination with the provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Quang Nam, Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City, will take place in Ninh Thuan province.

This is considered an event for the Cham people to introduce their unique and characteristic cultural features. Nearly 500 artisans, artists, and athletes from 9 provinces and cities are expected to participate, representing more than 179,000 Cham people nationwide.

The leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province expressed that the event is also an opportunity to promote the unique cultural features of Ninh Thuan, the strengths of its scenic spots, creating favorable opportunities for the public and tourists to participate at any time when coming to the locality.

Currently, Ninh Thuan province has 213 tourist accommodation establishments with more than 4,700 rooms. Authorities regularly issue instructions to ensure tourism security, requiring tourism businesses to focus on ensuring food safety and hygiene, fire prevention, selling at the correct listed price, contributing to building a safe, friendly and attractive tourism environment./.
