Recently, instead of choosing to stay in luxurious, comfortable hotels and resorts, young people are tending to return to nature, go to the forest, go to the beach, sleep in outdoor tents to... balance their emotions.
My best friend texted me: “Work is so stressful! Running through deadlines from month to month makes me so stressed. I wish I could have a few days without phone, without internet, without kids, I want to really rest”. So, without thinking much, our group of best friends “jumped” the boat to Phu Quy on a beautiful sunny day to purify our souls. Phu Quy is now more modern with many luxurious and eye-catching resorts and motels, but we chose a small, pretty homestay located right next to the sea. Although we were born and raised by the sea, we still love the peaceful beauty of this pearl island, perhaps because this small island still retains its wildness that few places have.
5am, waking up in the middle of fresh nature, listening to the gentle sound of the waves lapping the shore, how wonderful. We arrived at Ganh Hang, sat on a high hill watching the sunrise slowly appear, feeling full of energy, lungs full and all the fatigue and burdens of life suddenly disappeared. We wandered around the roads of the island district, where there were many white frangipani flowers blooming, the scent was so pleasant. Just a few days of being immersed in nature, not worrying about work or family, no one said anything but everyone felt so light, as if liberated, removing all worries and troubles in their hearts. Then, we returned to the mainland, back to the same routine, but with a new mindset, more refreshed, working more effectively.
Not only young people, this type of tourism back to nature is also welcomed by many families. Thanh Hang's family (HCMC) every few months, the whole family packs up and gets into the car, goes to Co Thach - Binh Thanh commune - Tuy Phong district, stops at the familiar homestay near the 7-color rock beach to rest. Ms. Hang shared: “The reason my family chose this place is because it feels like returning to the old kitchen, very cozy, airy space with a lush green vegetable garden, the owner and her husband cook rustic dishes that suit their taste. The seafood is fresh, vegetables, fruits picked from the home garden, the drinks prepared by the owner remind me of my childhood so much like grass jelly with basil seeds, sam nam, mint water, black beans roasted with ginger... Especially, the rooms here do not have TVs, no electronic devices so the children can freely experience folk games such as jumping rope, hopscotch, mandarin duck, playing in the sand, swimming in the sea, flying kites... These are activities that are very difficult for city children to access".
Following the trend, many families like to go to the beach, like to listen to the waves lapping at the shore every morning, like to walk barefoot on the sand or pebbles, like to watch fishermen fishing, watching fish and fresh shrimp jumping around, like to lie on a hammock swinging and listening to time slowly pass without worry... At night, you can sit outside enjoying fresh seafood, watching the moon and listening to the waves lapping. These hobbies seem small, but many families are caught up in the whirlpool of food, clothes, rice, money, more than half of their lives still cannot leave the city even once just to "recharge their batteries".
This type of tourism is not too expensive, suitable for many middle-income families. Instead of going on vacation in the past, families now tend to prioritize tourist destinations in the suburbs, with green spaces, sea, streams, forests... suitable for types of tourism for health and experience. In addition to beach tourism, many young people also enjoy choosing Ta Nang - Phan Dung tour, Da Mi lake, Suoi Da lake, La Ngau stone stream... to experience outdoor activities and be close to nature.
Surely, after each trip, family members are very excited and enthusiastic, it is an opportunity for the whole family to gather and bond more closely together. More specifically, it is a time for us to reboot ourselves, dispel all fatigue, return to nature to live more slowly, balance the mind, and recharge our energy to regenerate our labor.
