Today (January 26), Mui Ne Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Binh Thuan province) said that the functional forces and local people had just successfully rescued and brought a Russian tourist who had an accident while surfing to shore safely.

Previously, at 9:50 p.m. on January 25, Mui Ne Border Guard Station received information about a Russian tourist named Aleksandra (45 years old) who was surfing at the beach when bad weather caused her to be swept away by waves. The location of the accident was about 5 nautical miles south of Mui Ne Bay (Phan Thiet City).

Upon receiving the information, the authorities immediately mobilized 2 border guards, a fishing boat and 4 fishermen to assist in the search and rescue.

After nearly 2 hours of searching, at dawn this morning, Mr. Aleksandra was found, rescued and brought safely to shore. The tourist's health is now stable.
