On the morning of Roya, male believers in traditional costumes gather at the mosques to perform a collective prayer. At the end of the prayer, people shake hands, ask forgiveness for all mistakes and troubles of the year; return to gather with their families, visit friends, neighbors, and relatives to ask forgiveness for each other's mistakes.

Roya is known as the day of love and forgiveness of all mistakes; it is an occasion for people to temporarily put aside all work and return to their hometowns to reunite with their families and villages. To solemnly welcome Roya, families prepare traditional dishes, prepare their houses, and decorate them with colorful lights and flowers.
