Helicopter team practices to celebrate Dien Bien Phu victory

For over a month now, the flight crews of Regiments 916, 917, 930 (Air Division 371 - Air Defense - Air Defense Service, Ministry of National Defense) have been busy practicing before the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7. According to the plan, during the celebration, the Air Force, including 12 helicopters (9 official, 2 reserve and one search and rescue) will perform a flight over the stands of Dien Bien Phu City Stadium.

Before going to Dien Bien airport to practice with other forces to perform in the official ceremony, three flight squadrons practiced at Hoa Lac airport. At 5:30 a.m. on April 17, the Mi-171Es were pulled out to the yard to charge and refuel before performing the rehearsal.
