Finnish team wins the "eye-catching" final night of the 2024 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

On the evening of July 13, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) with the theme "Made by Young Generation - Future Beat" took place with the competition of two teams from China and Finland.

The final match attracted a large number of people and tourists to both banks of the Han River to “enjoy” the fireworks display in the sky of Da Nang. The festival ended with the victory of the Finnish team.

Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co. from China opened the final night of DIFF 2024 with a performance called “Dazzling Da Nang”.

China’s performance inspired the beauty and love for Da Nang, with groundbreaking music that combined the rich Chinese sound with the vibrant Western touch. The rhythm of the fireworks changed continuously through each segment, creating an emotional light show.

Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB, representing Finland, made the Da Nang summer night much hotter with a modern and vibrant performance based on famous European and American songs and soundtracks. The Finnish team used about 10,000 fireworks, making the audience unable to take their eyes off the fireworks techniques both in the sky and underwater, bringing extremely new effects.

After extremely difficult moments of making a decision, the Organizing Committee announced that the Finnish team has officially won the DIFF 2024 Champion title, with a prize worth 20,000 USD. The Chinese fireworks team won second place with a prize worth 10,000 USD.

Also in the final night, the Organizing Committee announced the “Creativity” award for the French team with their impressive performance in the qualifying night. Receiving great affection from the audience, the Italian team received the “Audience Favorite” award.

Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Bich, a tourist from Hue city, shared: “This is the first time I have seen the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival. I feel overwhelmed and satisfied with the performance of the two teams.”

Along with the fireworks display of the two teams, throughout the final night of DIFF 2024, a large-scale art program brought a youthful, exciting and energetic atmosphere, true to the theme "Future Beat".

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, during the three days of July 11-13, the city recorded 455 flights to Da Nang. Right before the final night (July 12), there were 162 flights landing in Da Nang, an increase of more than 40% compared to weekdays.

On the final night of DIFF 2024 (July 13), accommodation facilities in the city served an estimated 90,017 guests, including about 30,970 international guests. The city’s room capacity was almost at its maximum, with an occupancy rate of up to 95%; the capacity of cruise ships reached 100% – an absolute rate.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City affirmed that since 2008, DIFF has become an event with its own brand, attractive to the locality. Besides, the city also always renews itself with new and attractive cultural and tourism products so that every visitor coming here will feel the festive atmosphere, the event always filled in this beautiful and dynamic coastal city.

Taking a whole year to prepare the script and implement, with more than 2,000 employees of Da Nang city, DIFF 2024 has been a great success and made an important contribution to promoting the city's socio-economic development.
