On the afternoon of February 12, at the conference to summarize the movement of the entire people to protect national security in 2024 and deploy the work plan for 2025, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh shared about not organizing district-level police.

According to Mr. Chinh, Da Nang is streamlining the organization of the government. The city police these days are also focusing their efforts on implementing the arrangement of not organizing the police at the district and county levels, straining themselves to do the work.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City shared that one thing that he is very worried about and also hopes that the City Police will pay attention to is that when there is no police force at the district and county levels, the role of the City Police is to eliminate the gap with the police at the commune and ward levels.

“There are many communes and wards that border each other, the boundaries are difficult to distinguish, just in an alley can be divided into two wards. We must find a way to ensure that the direction of the City Police is consistent with the ward police. The local government must closely monitor so that criminals cannot take advantage of the border areas to commit crimes,” Mr. Chinh emphasized.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh also said that 2025 will be a very important year for the city. At the same time, many major policies of the Central Government on building and developing the city's economy and society will be implemented.

To achieve these targets, Mr. Chinh said that political security and social order and safety must be maintained. If the environment is unstable, no investor will dare to come. We cannot allow theft or work accidents to occur at construction sites...

According to Mr. Chinh, the city is investing heavily in the police, but it is certainly not enough. In the future, the city will invest in a series of additional cameras to prevent and detect crimes early and from a distance.

In addition, the City Police will soon add a number of functions transferred from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Transport, and Department of Justice, including the management and monitoring of drug addicts.
