These days, despite the hot weather, Ngu Hanh Son is still a favorite destination for many domestic and foreign tourists.

The Management Board of Ngu Hanh Son (Da Nang) said that the Ngu Hanh Son complex consists of limestone mountains growing independently according to the five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth.

What is special is that Ngu Hanh Son caves are usually located on high mountain peaks, so inside the cave there are almost no stalactites hanging from the ceiling or growing densely. Here, the cave roof often has holes connecting to the outside, so the cave is spacious, airy, and the floor is flat.

According to the Management Board of Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic, this place has many names such as Ngu Uan Son (five-constellation mountain), Pho Da Son, Bach Hoa Ngu Chi (five fingers - because seen from above it looks like a giant hand pressing five fingers into the ground).

In the 19th century, King Minh Mang based on the structure of the five mountains according to the five elements, named the mountains in turn: Kim Son - Moc Son - Thuy Son - Hoa Son - Tho Son.

Among them, Thuy Son is the largest and most beautiful mountain, visited by many tourists. There are temples, relics, and many beautiful caves here.

In 2023, the Prime Minister approved the plan to preserve, restore and renovate the special national scenic spot Ngu Hanh Son, with an area of nearly 105 hectares.

Thereby aiming at six goals: Managing and protecting Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot in harmony with the requirements of socio-economic development and tourism services; preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the scenic spot to become a cultural space, a festival space combined with a unique entertainment spot of the city; connecting with other famous historical sites and scenic spots of Da Nang and neighboring localities to create a rich chain of tourism products, an important destination on the "Central Heritage Road" tourism journey.
