On the afternoon of June 30, at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam in collaboration with the creative enterprise TiredCity organized the opening of the exhibition "Folklore in Gen Z" with the desire to spread the beauty of traditional folk culture, while marking the contributions of young illustrators in participating in preserving the national cultural identity.
The closeness, flexibility, and daily life have helped folk culture survive and develop sustainably in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people to this day. Now, under the lens of Gen Z artists, folk culture has once again transformed, flexibly adapted, and skillfully combined with modern stories.

The exhibition space displays 39 illustrated works with diverse themes from painting, performing arts to literature. The unique illustrations with modern artistic language have skillfully conveyed and honored the beauty of Vietnamese folk culture such as Dong Ho paintings, Hat Boi art and nursery rhymes associated with the childhood of many generations.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Kieu - Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam shared that the works show the vitality of national culture as a source that flows forever under the creativity of young artists, also the Gen Z generation. Thereby marking the continuation and development of national culture, enhancing the value of heritage through each generation, contributing to enriching and diversifying the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

“In the coming time, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam aims to not only maintain its role as an important historical and cultural relic but also develop into a creative cultural center, close to young people. Hopefully, this space will facilitate the continuous development of cultural activities, making an important contribution to raising awareness and community values through art and creativity,” added Mr. Le Xuan Kieu.
The exhibition is open from July 1 to July 31, 2024 at the Experience Area, Special National Monument of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi.
