(PLVN) - Along with the Government's determination, at the meeting on February 10, many businesses made commitments and recommendations to the Government Standing Committee on tasks and solutions for private enterprises to accelerate and contribute to the country's development in the new era.

“Whatever you do, try to contribute to growth”

As one of the pioneering private enterprises committed to strongly promoting its role and mission to realize the country's socio-economic development goals in 2025 as well as the following years, Mr. Tran Ba Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Truong Hai Group Corporation emphasized that: "Whatever THACO is doing, we are trying to contribute to growth."

According to Mr. Tran Ba Duong, THACO has established a certain foundation in the industries it is operating in to move towards a new era and develop with very clear directions and strategies set forth by the Government.

“With a team of engineers, as well as experience in product research and development as well as international cooperation, THACO commits to carry out reasonable technology transfer, organize on-site production to reduce costs and demonstrate that this product has the participation of Vietnamese enterprises, responsible for quality and cost. We also promise to cooperate, promote cooperation through large projects, will help small and medium enterprises participate in the production chain, as well as link to order steel manufactured according to product standards”, Mr. Duong committed.

Similarly, Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company, emphasized that with the growth target of 8%, in which the private sector contributes 60%. At that time, each enterprise will play the role of a cell of the economy and so will Hoa Phat. Therefore, Hoa Phat commits to grow 15% per year, responding to the country's double-digit growth target for the period 2025 - 2030.

Pioneering in promoting innovation and sustainable development of the country

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, General Director of Vingroup Corporation, also said that in recent years, Vingroup has continuously made strong efforts to invest in strategic areas such as energy infrastructure, green economy, digital economy, and supporting industries to contribute to realizing the vision of sustainable development. A typical example is Vinfast, a project expected to create a green production and consumption ecosystem, bringing long-term benefits to the community.

“We have been and will continue to invest heavily in scientific research, cooperate with universities and research institutes to train high-quality human resources, meet the growing demand for technology and innovation, and contribute to raising Vietnam's position on the global technology map.

At the same time, Vingroup is committed to playing the role of one of the pioneering enterprises promoting innovation and sustainable development of the country. With the companionship and support of the Government, ministries, departments and branches, Vietnamese private enterprises have the opportunity to reach out, contributing to building a prosperous, green and sustainable economy," Mr. Quang stated.

Mr. Le Van Kiem, Chairman of KN Holdings: Hope the direct electricity trading mechanism will soon come into practice.

As one of the private economic groups with a history of development of more than 45 years, we always aim to invest in business for sustainable development, making positive contributions to the community. For solar energy projects, we recommend investing in battery storage systems to ensure optimal operation and to ensure that the system is not overloaded. Decree 80/2024/ND-CP of the Government on the direct electricity purchase and sale mechanism has been issued since July 2024, but there are still no detailed guiding circulars, as well as specific regulations on related fees. Therefore, we hope that the Government will pay attention and direct the early completion of the legal framework so that Decree 80 can quickly come into practice, helping businesses access clean energy and improve competitiveness in the global supply chain.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, Xuan Truong Group: Removing mechanisms to help businesses feel secure in investing

If we want to do big things, we must have ideas, have project goals, and organize implementation well... We are determined to build cultural works of international stature, so that we can stand shoulder to shoulder with other countries. In the past, Trang An and Tam Chuc had no brand, but now we have many works with brand value. We need to discuss mechanisms and policies, and let businesses decide for themselves and take responsibility. With high-speed railways and roads, we must have ideas first. We must have documents so that businesses can feel secure in investing, and then banks will lend money. As with steel, for businesses to invest 10 trillion VND, in addition to their own capital, they must borrow from banks. Our businesses invest in culture, so we do not have to borrow money, and do not depend on banks. The most important thing now is to have a mechanism.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, Head of Private Economic Development Research Board: First, we must unleash the potential of science and technology.

At this time, the whole country is excited, with great hope that Vietnam will enter a new era, Vietnam will be a powerful, prosperous country, standing among the most advanced countries in the world. This is the moment when the country's fortune comes, we must do everything possible to develop, we cannot miss it. To do that, we must first unleash the potential of science and technology. Because, when researching, we see the relationship between GDP and the potential of science and technology drawn into a graph of "upward parabola", meaning that when GDP grows, the level of science increases. At the same time, we urgently "popularize AI". The fastest way possible is to put AI into the education and training programs of the entire education system. And this requires the State to promote its role and direct it so that Vietnam soon becomes a nation of artificial intelligence.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Chairwoman of BRG Group: Proposing to consider continuing to reduce land rent for businesses

In 2024, we will achieve GDP growth of over 7%. However, many businesses were severely affected by Typhoon Yagi. To support businesses, the Ministry of Finance is proposing to continue reducing land rent by 30%.

Enterprises are very excited about the reduction in land rent, but the income tax has increased, so enterprises are facing many difficulties. Therefore, I propose that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers consider continuing to reduce land rent for enterprises in 2024 and 2025, not only for 6 months but for the whole year. Any enterprises that are eligible for the reduction need to be carefully considered, if they are not worthy, they will not be supported. This is truly a very practical encouragement for enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Son Hai Group: It is necessary to perfect appropriate mechanisms and legal frameworks for business operations.

According to the provisions of the law on construction, the warranty for level 1 works and above is 24 months (2 years). However, Son Hai Group has proposed a 10-year warranty. In this case, the Group proposes that when the contractor voluntarily commits to a 10-year warranty, the investor only retains the 2-year guarantee, not the 10-year guarantee, to avoid the contractor's capital stagnation.

Regarding this issue, the Prime Minister is requested to direct relevant ministries and branches to review and complete appropriate mechanisms and legal frameworks so that businesses can increase the warranty period. Because when businesses register for a 10-year warranty package, they can feel more secure in investing, applying high technology, and maintenance.
