On the afternoon of February 11, SJC gold bar prices were listed by businesses such as SJC, Bao Tin Minh Chau, and PNJ at VND88.7 million/tael for buying and VND91.2 million/tael for selling.
Some units like DOJI sell gold bars for 92 million VND, while Mi Hong Company sells for only 90.5 million VND/tael.
Earlier in the morning, the price of SJC gold bars reached 93.1 million VND/tael - surpassing the 92.4 million VND/tael mark set in May last year.
Thus, up to this point, the gold price has decreased by more than 2 million VND per tael compared to this morning.
Gold bar prices fluctuated strongly today
The difference between buying and selling prices of gold bars remains at 3 million VND/tael.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also suddenly "turned around" and decreased by about 700,000 VND per tael when businesses bought it for 88.5 million VND/tael and sold it for 91 million VND/tael.
The rapid increase - shocking decrease of domestic gold prices also follows the fluctuations of world gold prices.
In the international market, the price of gold today, after surpassing its all-time peak to the region of 2,940 USD/ounce, also cooled down, down about 20 USD/ounce. At 13:30, Vietnam time, the price of gold was traded at 2,924 USD/ounce.
With the above developments, those who bought gold on God of Fortune Day, January 10 (February 7) at the price of 90.3 million VND/tael, if selling at this time, would still lose about 2 million VND/tael.
Because the current buying price of gold businesses is 88.7 million VND/tael - 3.5 million VND/tael lower than the selling price.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.3 million VND/tael, less than 1 million VND lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings. This is the difference between domestic and world gold prices at a record low level in recent times.
