From June 25, at the invitation of the leadership of Granma newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Cuba, a delegation of Nhan Dan Newspaper led by comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, paid a visit and worked in Cuba.
At the official working session with the Editor-in-Chief of Granma Newspaper, Yailin Orta Rivera, comrade Le Quoc Minh introduced and shared experiences about the development process of Nhan Dan Newspaper, as well as the professional work of the newspaper's staff as the official mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, Nhan Dan Newspaper has been constantly innovating in the direction of digital transformation in recent years to meet the development trend of journalism and has now fully developed all types of journalism. Nhan Dan Newspaper has stepped up investment in software systems and equipment, applied most modern journalism technologies, and at the same time trained a team of reporters who not only write well but also use technology proficiently.

According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, currently, 70% of readers of Nhan Dan e-newspaper are under 30 years old. The active participation of young people will contribute to creating an attractive newspaper for future generations and become a model of a digital newspaper with a strong presence on social networks; at the same time, fighting against manifestations of negative trends on the Internet.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh also emphasized the importance of creating necessary tools to support reporters and editors to produce the best journalistic products.
Comrade Yailin Orta Rivera, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and editor-in-chief of Granma newspaper, said that the daily newspaper is a constant target of the media war against Cuba, and is facing increasingly serious resource constraints due to the effects of the embargo.

Representatives of both Party press agencies shared their views on the challenges that today's technological scenario poses to the media industry and agreed that as the official mouthpieces of the Communist Parties of the two countries, both newspapers need to strengthen their combativeness on the ideological front, continue to improve to fully meet the need to widely propagate to the people the policies of the two Parties and States in the new development period of the country.
The leaders of the two sides also agreed on a number of areas that need to promote cooperation between the two newspapers in the coming time, especially in the fields of expertise, propaganda cooperation, publishing, digital transformation, etc. At the meeting, the delegation visited a number of specialized departments of Granma Newspaper, and discussed with officials and reporters at the newspaper.
Visiting the headquarters of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), comrade Le Quoc Minh shared many views on the direction of press modernization. Talking with UPEC President Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized that digital transformation is not about changing technology but about changing people, most importantly, changing thinking.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh affirmed that one of the factors ensuring the success of the digital transformation of the media is to have a strategy for modernization that takes into account the differences between large media and local media; design the reader experience; create motivation so that there is no resistance to the transformation process and encourage workers.
Also at the UPEC headquarters, comrade Le Quoc Minh had a direct and online exchange with his Cuban colleague on "Transforming Vietnam's media system in the 21st century and the challenge of artificial intelligence".
