Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh - Vice Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee said that during the Tet holidays, in Tay Ho district, no incidents related to political security and social order and safety were detected; no violations of firecrackers occurred; police officers, soldiers, and militia were on duty, ready to mobilize and handle any situations that may arise.

According to statistics, from February 9 to 14, historical sites in the district welcomed over 60,000 visitors, double that of 2023. On New Year's Eve alone, the number of visitors to Tay Ho Palace, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and other historical sites in the district reached more than 10,000 people.

Some relics have a large number of visitors to the Spring festival such as: Tay Ho Palace with over 20,000 visitors, Van Nien Pagoda with over 8,000 visitors, Tran Quoc Pagoda with an average of 2,000 - 3,000 visitors per day, of which 32% are foreign visitors.

Traffic safety, fire safety and urban civilization have been strengthened and ensured. In particular, on New Year's Eve at the Light Festival area organized by Tay Ho district, it attracted more than 80,000 people to watch.

The Flower Valley area in Nhat Tan ward alone opened for free to welcome more than 5,000 tourists to take souvenir photos on the occasion of the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, which was recognized and highly appreciated by public opinion.

Notably, the district is considered the "flower barn" of the capital, so during the recent Tet holiday, the entire district consumed over 119 hectares of ornamental flowers with a value of about 180 billion VND, an increase of 11% over the same period last year...
