(HQ Online) - On the afternoon of March 1, 2024, at the headquarters of Quang Nam Customs Department, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs Hoang Viet Cuong chaired the Ceremony to announce the Decision on temporary transfer and appointment of Mr. Duong Xuan Sinh, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Customs Department, to hold the position of Director of Quang Nam Customs Department from March 1, 2024.

On January 31, 2024, the Director General of the General Department of Customs signed Decision No. 299/QD-TCHQ to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Duong Xuan Sinh, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Customs Department, to hold the position of Director of Quang Nam Customs Department.
At the ceremony, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs Hoang Viet Cuong presented the appointment decision to the new Director Duong Xuan Sinh.
Congratulations to the new Director Duong Xuan Sinh and the Quang Nam Customs Department for completing the Director position. The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and the leaders of the General Department of Customs all hope that the new Director will promote his management and operation capacity, and together with the collective leadership of the Quang Nam Customs Department, lead the unit to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs Hoang Viet Cuong emphasized that comrade Duong Xuan Sinh is a young civil servant, with basic training, majoring in Law and Economics, with 28 years of experience working in the Customs sector and having held many positions from civil servant to leader of units: Anti-smuggling Investigation Department, Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389, Lao Cai Customs Department and was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of Lao Cai Customs Department from January 2019.
In particular, during his time working at Lao Cai Customs, comrade Duong Xuan Sinh was assessed by the unit as a civil servant with good political qualities and ethics, a sense of responsibility for his work, a firm grasp of customs laws and regulations; capable of managing, operating, and overseeing work; having practical experience working at border gates; and having the ability to coordinate well with relevant agencies and units in performing tasks; during his work.
The transfer and appointment of comrade Duong Xuan Sinh to the position of Director of Quang Nam Provincial Customs Department not only meets the requirements of the task but also meets the need to train and develop leaders, and improve the quality of the immediate and long-term human resources of the Industry.

In the assignment of tasks to the new Director Duong Xuan Sinh, Deputy Director General Hoang Viet Cuong specifically outlined 5 key tasks. Firstly, in his new position as the head of the unit, he requested that he focus on grasping the work, working with the collective Leadership and Party Committee of the Department to organize and direct the subordinate and affiliated units to successfully complete the political tasks of the unit.
Second, promote management and operation capacity, demonstrate the mettle of the leader in leadership, direction, and operation, closely follow and concretize the key contents and work programs of the General Department of Customs, the Ministry of Finance, as well as programs and plans for economic and social development in the locality to best fulfill assigned political tasks, while contributing to promoting and developing the local economy and society in the assigned management area.
Third, continue to maintain good solidarity within the unit, organize and implement well the principles of democratic regulations in the agency, enhance the sense of responsibility and sense of organization and discipline, gather and promote the collective strength of all civil servants in the Quang Nam Customs Department to successfully complete the assigned political tasks of the unit.
Fourth, take advantage of the leadership and direction of the Ministry of Finance, General Department of Customs, Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Quang Nam province, coordinate well with all levels and sectors in performing tasks.
Fifth, constantly study, seek knowledge and cultivate, fulfill the exemplary responsibility of a Party member and unit leader, strive to improve management and operation capacity, demonstrate the qualities of a leader, and be the nucleus of unity in the unit.
For the comrades in the collective leadership of the Department and all civil servants of the Quang Nam Customs Department, the Deputy Director General requested to coordinate and help comrade Duong Xuan Sinh to fulfill his duties and tasks well as the Director; to implement the working regulations well to strengthen the relationship and coordination of work within the collective leadership of the Department with the units in the Department, at the same time promote democracy, maintain discipline, internal solidarity and continue to build the unit to develop more and more.
Receiving the direction of the leaders, the new Director of Quang Nam Customs Department, Duong Xuan Sinh, sent his thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Customs, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee, and the People's Council of Quang Nam province for their trust, confidence, and appointment to the position of Director of Quang Nam Customs Department.
In the action program in his new position, the new Director Duong Xuan Sinh has set out many key tasks to carry out the mission. In particular, the new Director commits to using all his abilities, intelligence and strength to strive to fulfill his personal responsibilities and the political tasks of the Quang Nam Customs Department; strives with the Department's leadership, the Party Committee and all civil servants and employees of the Quang Nam Customs Department to unite, actively carry out and fulfill the assigned political tasks, for the common interests of the Industry and the Department, contributing to local development and fulfilling the task of protecting national sovereignty interests in the area.
