Recently, voters in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai reported that the simulation test using software provided by the Department of Roads applied to the teaching and learning program for driving cars of classes B1, B2, C, D, E, F... is inappropriate and does not accurately assess the reality of driving on the road.
According to voters, the above regulation causes confusion for test takers and wastes a lot of people's time and money. Voters request the Ministry of Transport to abolish the organization of traffic simulation tests in driving tests.
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Transport said that it has directed the Department of Roads to preside over and coordinate with units to develop software to adjust and update some situations suitable for reality, and adjust the recognition time so that learners can easily absorb and handle them. Recently, the Department of Roads has actively coordinated with relevant agencies to adjust and update software to simulate traffic situations.

The Department of Roads has adjusted the traffic simulation test in driving tests.
Specifically, the Department coordinated with a number of experts to re-graphicalize some situations with blurry, low-resolution images to improve image quality, helping learners to observe and identify situations more easily; supplement and display the name of each situation for learners to recognize....
In addition, the Roads Department also adjusted the simulation software to extend the scoring time frame (from 5 points to 0 points) to help learners have more time to recognize and operate the computer keyboard.
At the same time, at the beginning of this year, the Department of Roads instructed the Departments of Transport to access the website www.gplx.gov.vn to download the updated software to simulate traffic situations and officially implement it nationwide from February 15. "Currently, the rate of meeting the requirements of the simulated traffic situation test content is over 80%..." - said the Ministry of Transport.
According to the representative of the Road Administration, in 2018, the Ministry of Transport required testing centers to build tunnels, bridges, and ferries to train and test car drivers. However, driving training centers cannot do this and put simulation cabins into practice like the aviation and railway industries to train and test pilots and train drivers.
“In reality, each student practices for 3 hours in the cabin, but students practice skills and reflexes in conditions of terrain, road, weather, traffic conditions and different traffic situations to improve skills to ensure traffic safety…” - said a representative of the Department of Roads.
