Ministry of Transport requires increased training of railway human resources

The Ministry of Transport has just issued a document requesting agencies and units to urgently carry out human resource training tasks to meet the needs of railway projects.

The document states: The Ministry of Transport is focusing on synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to realize the goals and tasks of developing Vietnam's railway transport by 2030, with a vision to 2045.

To ensure human resources to meet this goal in the coming time, the Ministry of Transport requires agencies and units, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to proactively review, develop plans, register, organize training, and foster human resources to be ready to receive and meet the requirements of implementing railway projects.

Training institutions must proactively research and strengthen cooperation with international organizations, domestic and foreign training and research institutions to develop railway human resource training programs, especially human resources serving the North-South high-speed railway project, urban railway projects, and national railways according to the planning and development plans for the railway network approved by competent authorities.

Review and increase investment in training facilities and equipment; proactively coordinate with domestic and foreign agencies and units to strengthen training and foster a team of lecturers, managers and leading experts in the railway sector to meet the requirements of training high-quality human resources to serve railway projects.

At the same time, research and decide according to authority or propose to competent authorities to decide on appropriate mechanisms and policies to train and develop railway human resources to meet the requirements of developing Vietnam's railway transport.

"The Institute of Transport Strategy and Development coordinates with relevant agencies and units to complete the Railway Human Resource Development Project for the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045, and submit it to the Ministry of Transport before February 28, 2025," the Ministry of Transport requested.
