In a statement to reporters, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that according to the agreement proposed by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Wagner forces will withdraw to their camp to end the bloodshed. In addition, Mr. Prigozhin and Wagner members will not be prosecuted if they comply with the agreement.
Mr Peskov also denied that the recent incident would affect the special military operation in Ukraine. The Kremlin spokesman also thanked President Lukashenko for his role as an intermediary in helping to handle this rebellion.
