The program also aims to train at least 50% of female students each season. “Lifelong learning” promises to improve the lives of workers and support the development of the local hotel and restaurant industry.

In Vietnam, the “Lifelong Learning” program was first implemented in the Central region, where the restaurant and hotel industry is growing strongly. At the same time, the demand for local jobs has increased, especially since the pandemic, and workers are in great need of additional soft skills training to help them develop themselves, thereby helping them confidently access more career opportunities.

In early 2023, the program organized the first training course in Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province and reached 85 workers in the area.

Ms. Ha Thi Vy, Vice Principal of Da Nang College of Tourism shared: " We always want to contribute to promoting the quality of education at vocational training schools by creating opportunities for students to be exposed to and improve their technology and professional knowledge, creating conditions to help them have many job opportunities after graduation.

We appreciate business cooperation activities like this one between the multinational corporation Diageo and our school in helping students improve their skills and professional expertise ."
