In recent years, lion dance has not only been a cultural activity, bringing joy to everyone, but it is also a "hot" profession. Therefore, lion dance troupes have appeared more and more on every Mid-Autumn Festival and Tet holiday.
These days, many people in Da Nang flock to the Children's Palace, parks and entertainment venues to watch lion dances. Dozens of lion dance troupes with beautiful performances have attracted many families with young children to watch, creating a jubilant and excited atmosphere for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
This year, Da Nang trade unions at all levels stopped organizing the "Full Moon Festival" program to save funds to support people in the flood-hit areas of the North. Many families have chosen to arrange their time to watch lion dances every night to create a Mid-Autumn atmosphere for their children.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong (35 years old, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city) shared: "To bring joy to the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children, these days my family and I go for a walk and watch lion dances. Not only children but also adults love to watch lion performances, especially when lions jump on high poles and light up fireworks."
In addition to lion dances, these days the streets of Da Nang are also sparkling with the colors of lanterns. Many shops and cafes have decorated with star lanterns, masks... creating a bustling atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In particular, carts selling hand-held lanterns also appear all over the streets. With eye-catching and cute decorations, these lanterns have become toys loved by both children and adults.
