Promoting investment attraction in Thai Nguyen Data Center

Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the Conference.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung affirmed: The construction of a Data Center is not only an inevitable requirement in the digital transformation process but also a strategic advantage for Thai Nguyen to improve its competitiveness and attract high-tech investment; If formed, Thai Nguyen will become the second locality in the North (after Hanoi) to own a large-scale Data Center, creating a strong lever for digital economic development.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed: Currently, many investors have expressed interest in this field. Some investors have conducted surveys of potential land locations and sent questionnaires on investment needs and conditions to the province. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also stated his point of view: Thai Nguyen province not only commits to the highest level of investment incentives, but also proactively connects and signs cooperation agreements with banks and large enterprises to use the services of the Data Center as soon as it comes into operation.

He assigned the Department of Science and Technology to preside over and coordinate with the State Bank of Vietnam, Region V, to select 15 influential banks in the system to develop cooperation plans, thereby creating a stable market foundation, ensuring efficiency for investors.

Previously, many working sessions between Thai Nguyen provincial leaders and investors took place, focusing on discussions on the legal corridor, preferential policies, geographical location, technical infrastructure, human resources and long-term development orientation of the province in the field of Data Centers.

Attracting investment to build a Data Center in Thai Nguyen has now been specified in the resolution of the Provincial Party Committee. This is a key step to effectively implement the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, while also being linked to the National Semiconductor Industry Human Resource Development Program.
