The move is aimed at streamlining Apple's retail operations, which were run by Deirdre O'Brien, who is also in charge of human resources after the company's first chief people officer, Carol Surface, left.
Vanessa Trigub joined Apple in 2007, shortly after the launch of the first iPhone. She has held key roles in the company’s finance, mergers and acquisitions, and has also managed Apple stores in the Western United States.

According to Bloomberg , Ms. Trigub will now be responsible for overseeing the company's retail leadership in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and the Americas East region.
"This restructuring will reduce direct reports to Ms. O'Brien, strengthening Ms. Trigub's oversight of global retail operations," Tech Inasia said.
Apple currently has 535 stores worldwide and the promotion puts Ms. Trigub in good stead as a possible successor to Ms. O'Brien, who has been with Apple for more than 30 years.
News of the personnel changes comes just a week after Apple replaced Siri chief John Giannandrea with Vision Pro vice president Mike Rockwell.
This move shows that Apple is making notable adjustments in its senior leadership to prepare for future strategic steps.
