District 10 People's Committee has posted red signs in front of beauty salons that are being suspended to warn people.
On July 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the People's Committee of District 10 had posted a red warning sign "The facility is currently suspended" in front of the business household "DR EVA" at No. 21, Street No. 8, Ha Do Centrosa area, Ward 12, District 10.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health received a report about a beauty salon that was not as good as advertised online. Upon verification, it was found that this was a business with the signboard “DR EVA” that had been handled by the interdisciplinary inspection team of the People’s Committee of District 10, suspended for 18 months and is still in effect.
On July 19, the working group conducted a surprise inspection but the facility was closed. With the cooperation of local authorities, the people inside opened the door, including 7 female employees at the time of the inspection. On the ground floor, the group discovered many "DR. Van Clinic" tickets with the names and phone numbers of customers who had performed many services from the beginning of June to July 18. One employee admitted to performing the above services.
The inspection team also noted that the rooms were equipped with gynecological beds, surgical lights and medical equipment for intimate area cosmetic services. The facility staff proactively hid medical equipment in the staff bedroom on the 3rd floor. Checking the Facebook social network account named “Ths Doctor Le Van – Expert in reviving the girl” posted many cosmetic advertisements at address 21, Street 8, Ha Do Centrosa area, Ward 12, District 10. All staff working at “DR. Van Clinic” do not have a certificate to practice cosmetic surgery; no one is a master or doctor as illegally advertised on Facebook.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health will continue to clarify violations and strictly handle this facility, considering transferring the case to the investigation agency. The People's Committee of District 10 decided to hang a warning sign for residents right at this address.
On May 28, the People's Committee of District 10 issued Decision No. 2737/QD-XPHC against Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, owner of the DR.EVA business (No. 21, Street No. 8, Ha Do Centrosa Area, Ward 12, District 10) for "Providing medical examination and treatment services without a medical examination and treatment license". The form of fine and additional penalty is to suspend operations for a period of 18 months. The facility has complied with the fine. However, feedback from people via the hotline shows that the facility is still operating, despite the suspension order.
