The Politburo reported to the Party Central Committee that the Politburo had decided to assign General Luong Cuong, Politburo member and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, to join the Secretariat and hold the position of Standing Secretary of the Secretariat.

Before the ninth meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee held on the morning of May 16, the Politburo reported to the Party Central Committee that the Politburo had decided to assign General Luong Cuong, Politburo member and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, to join the Secretariat and hold the position of Standing Secretary of the Secretariat./.
