Taiwan's Defense Ministry said it detected multiple launches by the Chinese Rocket Force in Gansu and Qinghai provinces, and the autonomous regions of Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang since 6:50 a.m. on September 29 (local time), according to Reuters. The aforementioned areas are at least 2,000 km away from Taiwan.

China launched missiles into the Taiwan Strait in August 2022
Taiwan said it continues to monitor related developments and its air defense forces maintain a high level of alert and increase alertness.
China's Ministry of National Defense has not commented. The Rocket Force manages the Chinese military's nuclear and conventional missile arsenal.
Taiwan regularly monitors and releases information about Chinese military activities around the island but rarely releases data collected deep into mainland China. Taiwan is believed to operate several powerful radar stations on mountaintops in the central part of the island, capable of scanning deep into mainland China.
The announcement came three days after Taiwan's Defense Ministry raised its alert level over Chinese military activity and drills around the island. Beijing responded that it had the right to hold such activities.
On September 25, China announced that it had successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean. In August 2022, China launched multiple missiles into the waters around Taiwan in response to then-US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the island.
