According to current statistics, the province has 375 ranked relics, including 03 special national relics, 137 national relics, and 235 provincial relics. Each relic is often associated with a worshiped character, which can be the village's tutelary god, natural god, human god, revolutionary hero, cultural entrepreneur, etc. The system of Nghe An relics was born and nurtured by the beliefs, ethics and traditional customs of the nation, so it has a strong, lasting vitality and influence.
With those geographical and cultural characteristics, Nghe An has a variety of traditional festivals with 29 festivals taking place during the year and Nghe An is also the land of traditional festivals: Family festivals, clan festivals, village festivals, regional festivals, ethnic and religious festivals... especially festivals associated with relics. It is no coincidence that most of the names of the festivals are associated with the names of relics such as: Con Temple Festival, Qua Son Temple Festival, Mai King Temple Festival, Cuong Temple Festival, Chin Gian Temple Festival... Each festival has its own unique features and values, but they all have in common the bridge between the past and the present; a way for each citizen to better understand the history of building and defending the country as well as the traditional values ​​of the nation and the rich national culture.
