Da Nang earns thousands of billions in 4 days of holiday

On September 3, the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the city's total tourism revenue reached more than 1,200 billion during the 4-day holiday (from August 31 to September 3), an increase of more than 33% over the same period in 2023.

The total number of visitors to the city reached 308,000, an increase of more than 21% over the same period. Of which, domestic visitors reached about 217,000.

During the 4-day holiday, there were more than 470 domestic and international flights to Da Nang, a slight increase compared to last year. Of these, there were 277 domestic flights.

Tourists from neighboring provinces visit the Hai Van Pass area (bordering Da Nang City and Thua Thien - Hue Province) on the morning of September 3.

The difference during the September 2nd holiday this year is that the number of passengers traveling by rail and road by their own means, from neighboring localities such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai... to Da Nang increased very high.

The number of passengers traveling by rail reached about 10,678, an increase of more than 42% over the same period last year.

The total number of guests at tourist accommodation establishments reached about 89,290. The average room occupancy rate was about 50-55%, with the largest concentration of guests staying at coastal accommodation establishments and some 4-5 star hotels in the city center, with individual guests accounting for 60-70%.

Of which, the total capacity of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation establishments is estimated at 55-65%; the average capacity of 3-star or lower tourist accommodation establishments is estimated at 35-45%.

Some areas that welcome a large number of visitors include Sun World Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Mikazuki Water Park, Ngu Hanh Son National Special Monument, Hai Van Quan relic, eco-tourism spots in Hoa Vang (Hoa Bac, Hoa Ninh...).

In addition, local people and domestic and international tourists gather to shop, use culinary services in large numbers at Con Market, Han Market and neighboring areas, participate in swimming, and experience activities at Son Tra Peninsula.
