(Fatherland) - The 2024 Da Nang Hotel Reception Competition is an activity to help hotel receptionists have the opportunity to exchange experiences, enhance learning and exchange, and contribute to improving the quality of tourism human resources in Da Nang City.


On the afternoon of December 17, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2024 Da Nang Hotel Reception Competition.

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, following the success of the Da Nang Excellent Tour Guide Contest 2024, the Da Nang Hotel Reception Contest 2024 took place in the preliminary round on December 10 and the final round on the afternoon of December 17 with the participation of 50 contestants from hotels in the city.

This event aims to help hotel receptionists have the opportunity to exchange experiences, enhance learning and exchange, and contribute to improving the quality of tourism human resources in Da Nang city.

The Organizing Committee assessed that the contestants participating in this year's competition are very young, most of them were born in 2000-2004, have good professional knowledge and experience in handling situations. In particular, the contestants are very good at foreign languages, speak fluently, and have a good understanding of the characteristics of the customer market.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize to contestant Nguyen Minh Nhat (Radisson Hotel Danang), 2 Second Prizes to contestants Nguyen Bao Ngoc (New Orient Hotel Danang) and Nguyen Luu Gia Thuy (Crowne Plaza Hotel Danang), along with 3 Third Prizes, 6 Promising Receptionist Prizes and 4 additional prizes for presentation skills, language and impressive costumes.

The leader of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the contest is an activity to help hotel receptionists have the opportunity to exchange experiences, enhance learning and exchange, contributing to improving the quality of tourism human resources in Da Nang city. At the same time, the contest will contribute to building the image of a professional, friendly, and hospitable reception team, thereby honoring the hotel receptionist profession, honoring receptionists with good expertise, professionalism, and foreign languages, and creating opportunities for students of tourism training schools to study and approach the hotel receptionist profession.

Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a healthy and useful playground, strengthening solidarity in the tourism sector of tourism service businesses and tourism training establishments in the city. Thereby, increasingly improving the quality of the workforce in the tourism industry, especially the reception staff at hotels in the city, who play a key role in affirming the quality of service and the position of Da Nang on the domestic and international tourism map.

It is known that in recent years, Da Nang has been affirming its position as one of the leading destinations in the region, not only because of its beautiful natural landscape but also thanks to the professionalism and hospitality of its people and tourism human resources of Da Nang city, in which the reception team is the face of the hotel, the first and last people to leave a deep impression on visitors.
