On December 12, Chinese media confirmed that Chau Hai My had passed away at the age of 57. According to the actress's representative, she had been hospitalized in a coma. Some sources close to her said that the actress had health problems and had been battling lupus for many years.
3 days before her death, Chau Hai My still updated her personal page and just celebrated her 57th birthday on December 6. Her sudden passing left colleagues and fans in mourning. Currently, Chau Hai My's funeral plan has not been announced.
