Nearly 500 people attending the large-scale Science Experience Day "STEM X-Station" held last week had the opportunity to experience these highly practical projects.
Become a "scientist" right in school
"STEM X-Station" is the first large-scale Science experience event organized by STEM Talented Students of GATE Center. The festival with 18 experience stations displays scientific research and manufacturing projects carried out by Vinsers and partners in the STEM field, along with many other visual activities. The program attracted nearly 500 participants and brought comprehensive, direct and diverse scientific experiences.
Each product and project presented at the "STEM X-Station" Festival is the result of the research and efforts of Vinschool Talented Students. Based on the students' observations and assessments, the GATE Center will support, guide and create opportunities for in-depth research, developing ideas into practical products according to each student's wishes and personal abilities. Some typical projects on display include: The Servator - Drone for rescue and disaster relief using artificial intelligence, the Ruoi Mushroom Research Project - a new mushroom species with the potential to resist/treat infectious fungal diseases or AIMS - An automatic robot system for dispensing medicine to help reduce the workload and exposure of medical staff in quarantine areas...
Participating in the Festival as a talk show speaker and representative of the partner unit, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hoang Thinh - Master of Theoretical Physics, CEO of STEMax Education Joint Stock Company said: "The soul of this Festival is the introduction of the Projects of the Talented Students. Their projects are all highly practical and truly solve a problem in life. Most of the projects have also been implemented in practice and achieved some encouraging results. I am really impressed that the GATE Center, Vinschool Education System has created conditions for students to study and research from experts and laboratories in many fields from a very early age, in order to best develop each student's talent".
With Vinsers coming up with the idea to organize and lead the Festival model, emphasizing the "depth" factor in the activities, the event is recognized as a milestone marking the maturity in the process of developing students' talents.
Inspiration and love of science
Coming to the festival, parents and guests will be guided by 14 "young scientists" to explore the Projects through impressive stories about the journey of turning ideas into products, the difficulties and advantages in the process of implementing highly practical scientific projects.
In particular, guests not only observe but also interact directly with the actual products displayed in each experience station. Through this, Talented Vinsers hope to inspire, support ideas, passions and promote the community, especially young people who love science, to continue researching and creating to create good values for the community.
Ms. Trinh Khanh Huyen - Coordinator of Vinschool Talent Development and Consulting Center (GATE) shared: "Through STEM X-Station, GATE Center introduces to the community Talented Students - young people with passion and intellectual capacity to create products and projects that truly go deep into solving social problems. This is a milestone marking the maturity of the children's capacity, thereby encouraging them to develop and improve. At the same time, through this event, GATE Center also hopes to help Science become closer, more interesting and share the passion, inspire the creativity of Talented Students to the community."
The festival also brings together exhibition booths from prestigious partners in the STEM field and entertainment activities throughout the event such as: Game Station with intellectual challenges and scientific application movements, Cinema Hall with screenings of documentary films exploring many topics. From there, "STEM X-Station" is expected to bring experiences that are not only academic in depth but also diverse and entertaining, helping Science become closer to the community.
