After more than 25 days of hard work in major repairs, at 3:00 p.m. on April 8, Unit H4 of Trung Son Hydropower Plant completed overhaul and test run, ready to generate electricity and connect to the national grid.

It is known that, with the motto "determined to repair the H4 unit to ensure quality, ahead of schedule, and safety in work", from March 13 to April 8, Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited ( TSHPCo) coordinated with the Technical Service Center - A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company to actively deploy work items, completing the repair of the H4 unit 4 days ahead of schedule compared to the plan approved by Power Generation Corporation 2.

To carry out the major repair of the H4 unit to ensure quality, savings and efficiency, TSHPCo conducted a detailed survey of each equipment system, inspected and developed a technical repair plan, and made a detailed list of materials and equipment for each major repair item. With experience from major repairs of previous units and a team of technical staff with many years of experience, high expertise and skills, the synchronous coordination between departments, workshops, professional teams, and working groups in the operation workshop has contributed to the successful completion of the major repair work according to the RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) method of maintenance and repair, achieving stable, reliable and effective operation.

To continue to deploy and carry out the digital transformation task in accordance with the digital transformation roadmap of Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Generation Corporation 2, TSHPCo has developed a process to analyze and evaluate the status of the system and equipment to select a method of major maintenance and repair focusing on reliability for the hydropower plant, thereby determining the standard volume and plan for major repair of unit H4, at the same time, continue to deploy the development of a technical plan for minor repair of the plant's equipment in 2023 and the following years according to the RCM method.
