There is a lot of potential, but I think the biggest lack right now is synchronization at all stages, most clearly shown in infrastructure.

The correct solution is to build buildings that are ready for performances, and when needed to be converted to functions such as meetings, conferences... it will be easier than doing the opposite as is currently the case.
International organizers see a large and potential market here, a young population with the ability to spend on music, certainly a new tour destination in the region. They are eager to cooperate but the issue of the venue makes them hesitate.
We have a lot of potential but our infrastructure has not kept up. I think if we want to build a real performing arts industry, we must first pay attention to this issue. This is a very urgent matter.

Since the late 2000s, we started to "bring" top international artists to Vietnam to perform, but during those years we had no experience in organizing and producing international shows.
Technical equipment does not meet standards, infrastructure is lacking, especially the economy is still very difficult. Therefore, this market is very difficult to develop.
But from 2015 until now, we have brought Kenny G, Boney M, Modern Talking, Smokie, Joy Band..., and most recently the Bond quartet.
The shows are all performed indoors, so the requirements for equipment and technical systems are not as great as outdoor shows.
With this scale, Vietnam can basically meet most of the technical equipment (sound, lighting, stage effects...).

However, for some specific equipment systems to most faithfully express the musical quality of some artists, we have to cooperate with partners in Japan, Singapore, Thailand... to bring them back.
However, for tours by other world-class singers such as Taylor Swift, BlackPink, Coldplay... Vietnam can only meet the logistics and technical requirements. The rest of the main equipment such as sound, lighting, mechanical systems for stage movement and key operating personnel are all from abroad.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's performance infrastructure for large-scale programs has not yet reached international standards for top-notch music performances. So speaking of Vietnam's performance industry at this time, it must be said that we still do not have a complete process.
The appearance of BlackPink in 2023 shows that the Vietnamese market has great potential. From here, domestic producers and service providers have a more practical view of organizing, producing and operating a large show.
