AFP's photos give viewers a sense of the atmosphere of past Olympics and the excitement of Paris as it awaits its turn to host the 2024 Games.
Speaking at the exhibition, AFP representative in Hanoi, Alice Philipson, expressed her pride in introducing the agency's sports photos in Hanoi. This year alone, AFP's press photos have been honored in 12 different awards around the world, nearly half of which were sports photos.
“As a journalist who has covered many sporting events for AFP, I know the intensity of a high-level sporting event and the emotions it can evoke in athletes and fans. I hope that through sport, the world can learn about the unique features of my hometown,” Alice said.
