Mr. Do Minh Phu's daughter becomes DOJI General Director

Ms. Do Vu Phuong Anh is the General Director of DOJI Group and her younger brother Do Minh Duc has taken on the position of Permanent Vice President since September this year.

According to information from DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group Joint Stock Company, Ms. Do Vu Phuong Anh holds the position of general director to replace her younger brother Do Minh Duc, after more than 6 years as general director and vice chairman.

After leaving the CEO position, Mr. Duc took on a new role as Permanent Vice President of DOJI Group.

Mr. Minh Duc and Ms. Phuong Anh are both children of Mr. Do Minh Phu, Chairman of the Founding Council of DOJI Group.

Ms. Phuong Anh is Mr. Phu's eldest daughter, born in 1980, graduated from the Faculty of Finance and Banking of the National Economics University in Hanoi, obtained an MBA from the University of Hawaii (USA), then returned to DOJI to take up a position in the executive board. She has many years of experience in the field of corporate governance and human resource management, having held senior leadership positions as Deputy General Director of Human Resources and System Reform of Diana JSC, Deputy General Director of Human Resources - Operations of DOJI Group...

Mr. Minh Duc is considered a potential successor, having held many key positions in the group, from business director, deputy general director, vice president and general director.

DOJI Group, founded by Mr. Do Minh Phu, is one of the largest family businesses in Vietnam. In addition to its core business of jewelry and gemstones, DOJI also operates in the fields of real estate, tourism, and banking and finance. The group is a major shareholder of Tien Phong Bank (TPBank) and Mr. Phu is also the bank's chairman.

Mr. Do Minh Phu and his two children are three shareholders of DOJI Group. As of March 2022, Mr. Do Minh Phu owns 70% of the capital, the remaining 30% is divided equally between Do Vu Phuong Anh and Do Minh Duc. In addition, Ms. Phuong Anh and Mr. Minh Duc each own more than 24 million TPB shares, equivalent to 1.1% of TPBank's charter capital.

In the first 6 months of this year, DOJI Group's after-tax profit was over VND150 billion, a sharp decrease compared to the VND1,000 billion recorded in the same period last year. DOJI's bond debt to equity ratio decreased from 10% to about 2% at the end of June this year. Because it is not yet a public joint stock company, DOJI did not disclose details of other indicators to explain the strong fluctuations in business results.
