DNVN - The delay in publishing the audited financial report for the 2024 semi-annual period of more than 30 days compared to the regulation is the reason why RDP shares of Rang Dong Holding Joint Stock Company were transferred from warning status to control status from October 8 according to the decision of the State Securities Commission.
On October 1, Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange announced the handling of violations regarding RDP shares of Rang Dong Holding Joint Stock Company.
Accordingly, HoSE will transfer RDP shares from warning status to control status from October 8, 2024 according to Decision No. 562/QD-SGDHCM dated October 1, 2024 of the General Director of HoSE.
The reason is that Rang Dong Holding delayed the announcement of the audited semi-annual financial report for 2024 by more than 30 days compared to the prescribed deadline, which is a case of securities being controlled according to regulations.
RDP shares are also being monitored under warning status according to Decision No. 397/QD-SGDHCM dated June 17, 2022 of the General Director of HoSE. Because the parent company's after-tax profit is -142.5 billion VND and the undistributed after-tax profit is -205.7 billion VND based on the audited consolidated financial statements for 2023; at the same time, the shares do not meet the regulations of the Listing and Trading Regulations on listed securities.
Rang Dong Holding's headquarters is located at 90 Lac Long Quan, Ward 3, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to HoSE, RDP shares are also being monitored under warning status according to Decision No. 212/QD-SGDHCM dated April 16, 2024 of the General Director of HoSE. The reason is that the company has not met the regulations in the Regulations on Listing and Trading of Listed Securities.
Previously, in the report on measures and roadmap to overcome the stock market situation being warned on September 23, RDP said that the company received Decision 519 of HoSE on September 16, 2024 on putting RDP shares on the warning list from September 23, 2024 due to the delay in disclosing information on the audited financial statements for the 2024 semi-annual period.
According to RDP, the delay in announcing the audited semi-annual financial statements for 2024 is due to the company and the auditing organization (Nhan Tam Viet Auditing Company Limited) not being able to finalize the audit report on time as prescribed by law.
RDP commits to focus on completing the 2024 semi-annual financial report and publishing it as soon as possible. At the same time, it commits to periodically explain and report on the situation of overcoming the warning securities situation every quarter and publish information in accordance with regulations.
Regarding business performance, RDP's semi-annual consolidated financial report for 2024 shows that after-tax profit in the second quarter of 2024 was negative VND 65.6 billion, down from VND 10.4 billion recorded in the same period in 2023. Accumulated in the first 6 months of the year, after-tax profit of RDP in the first half of 2024 was negative VND 64.4 billion, while in the same period last year it reached VND 11 billion.
Rang Dong Holding Joint Stock Company, formerly the Union of Far East Rubber Enterprises, was established in the early 60s of the 20th century. The company was equitized in 2005. Rang Dong Holding is considered one of the leading enterprises in the plastic manufacturing industry, especially PVC and roofing sheets in Vietnam.
