Although they love their mother very much and show it in every stroke of their handwriting, the first graders still make spelling mistakes that make everyone laugh.

As a first grade teacher for many years, Ms. Bich Ngoc, a teacher in Hanoi, always feels happy with the most beautiful experience of her life is watching her students grow up every day. Many times, the innocence, innocence, sincerity and rich emotions of the children moved her.

Sharing with Dan Viet Newspaper reporter, Ms. Bich Ngoc said that recently, she let her students participate in a small activity during life skills class with the theme "My family".

The children made cards and wrote loving words to their family members. However, because they were only in first grade, most of them made spelling mistakes such as: I love you, Miss Nam, I love you the most in the world, I love you, Mom, I wish you good health, I love you, Mom...

According to Ms. Bich Ngoc, these are products written with the first handwriting of the first graders. The words are still not correct in some places, but they contain the innocence and sincere, pure love for family of the children. The cards are like vitamins of love, erasing the stress and fatigue of adults. And the life skills lessons will train the necessary skills for the children, fostering good feelings...

"I hate you, mom"

Sharing her teaching experience, Ms. Bich Ngoc said: "First graders gradually move from copying skills to listening and writing. At this time, they will inevitably make spelling mistakes. Letting children spell and write by themselves is also a method for teachers to grasp the actual situation of their spelling skills.

From these mistakes, the teacher will guide the children to spell carefully before writing, to write the correct sounds and rhymes of the words. Right after taking this lovely photo, I also had to train the children to write again with correct spelling."

According to Ms. Ngoc, in Vietnamese, there are spelling sounds that follow rules, for example ng/ngh, c/k, g/gh. Besides, there are spelling sounds that do not follow any rules, for example r/d/gi, s/x, ch/tr.

The only way to help children write irregular spelling sounds correctly is to provide them with new vocabulary, pay attention to how to use spelling sounds with each word and context so that they can remember and write the correct spelling in the appropriate context.
