Accordingly, Mr. Pham Huy Hoang - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Duy Tien town (Ha Nam province) confirmed that this year, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An (about 75 years old, residing in Tien Son commune, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam) is still the person chosen to play the role of King Le Dai Hanh plowing at the Tich Dien Festival.
"Mr. An is the person who plays the role of King Le Dai Hanh in many festival seasons. This year, the Organizing Committee continues to invite him to step up to the stage to pray to King Le and Than Nong, then put on the Nine Dragons hat and dragon robe and go to the fields to plow," said Mr. Hoang.
Regarding the criteria for choosing the plowman, Mr. Hoang revealed that, like many years ago, the person chosen to play the role of King Le Dai Hanh must have both virtue and talent.
Accordingly, the first criterion for choosing the person to play the king is a happy family with many children and grandchildren. The second is that the person must have a majestic and dignified gait, exuding the aura of a king. The third is that the person himself must be trusted by the people in the village, in the neighborhood...

Regarding the festival organization, Mr. Hoang said that the locality has carefully prepared to welcome people to the 2025 Doi Son Tich Dien Festival.
"Before Tet, the assigned units had completed 85% of the workload. Up to this point, we have finished preparing for the festival. Currently, the weather is favorable for the locality. We hope to organize the Tich Dien Doi Son Festival 2025 in a solemn and enthusiastic manner, ensuring the correct traditional rituals, bearing the mark of the cultural homeland of Duy Tien, Ha Nam," Mr. Hoang added.
Previously, sharing with PV Dan Viet, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An still remembers the feeling of excitement and anxiety the first time he was informed that he would play the role of King Le Dai Hanh plowing the fields.
"I still remember clearly the time my name was called to put on the royal robe to plow the fields. I was very nervous. The night before the festival, I was restless and worried. Although I had rehearsed many times before, and I was not unfamiliar with buffaloes and plows, I was still nervous and could not avoid it.
Up to now, after many times playing the role of King Le Dai Hanh, wearing the royal robe, plowing in front of many people of Ha Nam, I feel much more confident," said Mr. An.

Mr. An said he and his family were honored and proud to attend the Tich Dien Ceremony.
"Preparing my health and spirit well is very important. Hopefully in the coming years, I will still be healthy enough to attend the Tich Dien Ceremony and I will be even happier if I am chosen to play the role of King Le Dai Hanh for the 5th or 6th time...", the farmer confided.
According to information from Dan Viet reporter, the Doi Son Tich Dien Festival in 2025 will be held for 3 days, from February 2, 2025 to February 4, 2025 (ie January 5-7, At Ty year) at Doi Son pagoda area, Tien Son commune, Duy Tien town.

The festival will include sports competitions and folk games; buffalo painting and decoration contest; rice cake making contest of Doi Tam village families; plowing contest; exhibition activities of booths introducing typical agricultural and handicraft products of the town and province...
To organize the festival successfully, Mr. Ngo Van Lien - Chairman of Duy Tien Town People's Committee - Head of Doi Son Tich Dien Festival Organizing Committee assigned the Tien Son Commune People's Committee to preside over, coordinate with relevant sectors to prepare conditions and facilities, arrange forces and direct the participants in the festival rituals.
In addition, the Town's Center for Culture, Information and Sports coordinated to decorate the area where the Tich Dien ceremony was held, and to promote and publicize the festival. The Town's Economic Department prepared enough buffaloes and plows to serve the festival, organized exhibitions, and introduced typical agricultural and handicraft products in the town.
Preserved and maintained for centuries, the Tich Dien Festival (Doi Son commune, Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province) takes place on the 7th day of Tet every year and has become a major cultural event of the country during the Tet holiday.
The Doi Son Tich Dien Festival (Doi Son commune, Duy Tien district, Ha Nam) originated a long time ago and was opened by King Shennong.
In the spring of 987, for the first time, King Le Dai Hanh and his mandarins plowed the fields in Doi Son and found a pot of gold. In 988, they plowed in Ban Hai and found a pot of silver. Therefore, these fields were also called Kim Ngan Dien.
Since then, every year in early spring, the king went to the fields to plow, held the Tich Dien Ceremony (the king himself went down to plow the fields), prayed for a good harvest, and the following dynasties maintained the Tich Dien Plowing Ceremony in different forms. After a period of interruption, since 2009, this beautiful custom has been restored until today.
