The organizers of the Fashion Memoir program announced to postpone the show and refund tickets after the audience reacted to Nam Em's role in the program.

On the evening of October 3, the program organizers Memoirs Fashion announced the postponement of the show. "Urgent announcement. We are postponing the show due to force majeure, the time will be announced later. Audiences who have purchased tickets will be refunded within 10 days after October 4," the organizers announced.

The Fashion Memoirs program announced its suspension just one day after the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports (HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said the show had not yet obtained a license to organize from a professional agency.

"After reviewing, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City has not received any documents related to the above program. The Department continues to coordinate with relevant agencies to find out more related information," the Department representative shared.

The organizers caused controversy when calling Nam Em an inspirational ambassador.

The representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City also said that the specialized agency has recently closely coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and press agencies in state management work in the assigned fields to improve the quality of operations.

"We hope to continue to receive close coordination from media agencies and departments so that cultural activities in Ho Chi Minh City can develop further," added a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports.

Before the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City responded to the licensing issue of the Fashion Memoir program, the organizers received backlash when they released a poster calling Nam Em an inspirational ambassador.

The audience thought that Nam Em's role in the show was inappropriate because she had previously repeatedly violated administrative regulations and received a penalty decision from the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City.
