National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man meets voters in Hau Giang

Accordingly, the 8th Session will open on October 21 and is expected to close on November 30, 2024; the National Assembly will convene at the National Assembly House and proceed in 2 phases: Phase 1, from October 21 to November 13; Phase 2, from November 20 to November 30.

At this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 16 laws and 2 resolutions; give opinions on 12 draft laws. At the same time, it will consider and decide on socio-economic issues, state budget, supervision and other important issues.

The National Assembly will also review the Report of the Supervisory Delegation and consider and approve the Resolution of the National Assembly on the results of the thematic supervision of "Implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023"; conduct questions and answers; review personnel work under its authority; consider and decide on the establishment of Hue city under the Central Government; consider and decide on the investment policy of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period and the investment policy of the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; and consider and decide on other important issues...

At the meeting, voters from the four units made recommendations to the delegation on many issues related to the shortage of teachers, health insurance policies; land policies, resettlement compensation; policies for workers...

Specifically, voter Nguyen Hoang Chien (75 years old, Hiep Hung commune, Phung Hiep district) said that the policies of our Party and State are very appropriate and correct when mobilizing people to participate in the National Health Insurance for the health of the people in general and for the health of people in particularly difficult circumstances in particular... but through the process of mobilizing participation and enjoying benefits, there are some inappropriate regulations. Specifically: insurance costs increase, while medicines are not fully met, service quality is not commensurate with people's expectations.

Regarding the land sector, voter Nguyen Van Hai (Hiep Loi ward, Nga Bay) also raised the issue that people's land was recovered and included in the planning, the compensation price for people was very cheap, while businesses bid to convert land use purposes very easily, the land price for sale was very high so people could not buy it back.

Therefore, voters suggest that ministries and branches provide additional regulations on relocation support and subsidy support for people from 6 months to 1 year so that people can stabilize their housing and lives.

Speaking at the meeting with voters, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man informed about the socio-economic development situation; advantages and difficulties in the general context of the country and the world.

At the same time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man praised the impressive results in socio-economic development of Hau Giang. The National Assembly Chairman expressed that not only Hau Giang but also the whole Mekong Delta understands and sympathizes with the localities that suffered heavy losses in the recent storm No. 3.

From there, take advantage of nature to promote socio-economic development, take better care of people's lives. Resolutely resolve procedures and problems, especially those related to people. Whatever can be done, do it immediately without waiting for the Central Government.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang province presented 100 gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to union members in difficult circumstances in the province.
