Sharing experiences in effective propaganda for new rural construction

Attending the conference were Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung; representatives of Journalists Associations of Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Tien Giang, Ben Tre and Long An provinces with more than 60 delegates.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, journalist Tang Chi Huan, Chairman of the Tra Vinh Provincial Journalists Association, informed: The exchange of journalism skills is an annual activity organized in rotation between the Journalists Associations of the Bac Song Hau provinces. It is an important forum where members and reporters have the opportunity to exchange, interact, and share practical experiences to help improve their skills, continuing to affirm the role and importance of journalism in propaganda work.

This professional exchange conference with the theme "The role of the press in the propaganda work of new rural construction" received 14 presentations from the Journalists Associations of participating provinces. Thereby, it is affirmed that the press not only propagates the achievements in new rural construction but also promptly detects and reflects the difficulties and obstacles in new rural construction, providing a multi-dimensional perspective, helping management agencies grasp practical information, and propose effective and appropriate solutions in the new rural construction process.

At the conference, delegates from the Journalists Association of the provinces: Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Long An, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tien Giang... presented and discussed the following contents: Writing about New Rural Areas - advantages, difficulties and concerns; Tra Vinh Khmer Newspaper contributes to rural renewal, the role of the press in New Rural Area Construction; local Party newspapers in propaganda for New Rural Area Construction; digital transformation in New Rural Area Construction - a topic that needs to be further exploited;

The comments contribute to raising awareness for the Association's leaders and local press teams about the position, role and importance of the press in the propaganda work of building new rural areas. Encourage and motivate cadres and members to share experiences and invest in quality press works on building new rural areas to participate in professional competitions.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Tran Trong Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions of the delegates, hoping that localities would continue to create conditions for reporters from newspapers in the Cluster to exchange, learn and share experiences.

Regarding propaganda on New Rural Development, clearly define the ultimate goal of New Rural Development as being oriented towards the people, promoting topics related to ethnicity and religion associated with New Rural Development. In the coming time, the Provincial Journalists Association will pay attention to training to help reporters understand more deeply about agriculture, farmers, and have bold articles presenting solutions to problems related to New Rural Development, not just simply reflecting, enhancing the attractiveness of the press, and promoting the implementation of solution journalism.

Regarding funding, press agencies are interested in developing plans to implement a series of articles on New Rural Development in conjunction with departments, branches and localities to improve the quality of propaganda and request units to implement an ordering mechanism to help increase revenue for the press.

In addition, journalist Tran Trong Dung suggested that the Provincial Journalists Associations take the initiative in preparing to organize the Congress of Journalists Associations at all levels in 2025.
