The implementation of Circular No. 22/2023/TT-BYT dated November 17, 2023 regulating the unification of prices for medical examination and treatment services covered by health insurance among hospitals of the same rank nationwide and providing guidance on the application of prices and payment of medical examination and treatment costs, and Circular No. 60/2023/TT-BTC dated September 7, 2023 on regulations on collection levels, collection, payment, exemption and management of fees for registration and issuance of license plates for road motor vehicles, are the main reasons for the consumer price index in November 2023 to increase by 0.12% compared to the previous month.

There are 2/11 commodity groups with price indexes increasing compared to the previous month: Medicines and medical services increased by 5.42%; Other goods and services increased by 0.29%. There are 2/11 commodity groups with no increase or decrease compared to the previous month: Post and telecommunications and Education.

Seven out of 11 commodity groups had price indexes that decreased compared to the previous month: Housing, electricity, water and construction materials decreased by 0.42%; Food and catering services decreased by 0.25%; Transportation decreased by 0.18%; Clothing, hats and footwear decreased by 0.1%; Beverages and tobacco decreased by 0.05%; Household equipment and utensils and culture, entertainment and tourism all decreased by 0.04%.

On average, in the first 11 months of 2023, the consumer price index increased by 3.4% over the same period last year. There were 10 groups of goods that increased compared to the same period last year, including: Education increased by 9.65%; Housing, electricity, water and construction materials increased by 8.4%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 5.32%; Other goods and services increased by 4.68%; Food and catering services increased by 3.81%; Apparel, hats and footwear increased by 2.3%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 1.85%; Household equipment and utensils increased by 1.74%; Medicines and medical services increased by 0.68%; Post and telecommunications increased by 0.29%.

There is one group of goods that decreased compared to the same period, which is transportation, down 3.0%.

The gold price index in November 2023 increased by 3.35% compared to the previous month, up 10.82% over the same period. The average for the first 11 months of 2023 increased by 4.04% over the same period. Domestic gold prices fluctuate in the same direction as world gold prices.

The US dollar index increased by 0.97% compared to the previous month, down 5.01% compared to the same period. The average for the 11 months of 2023 decreased by 4.55% compared to the same period.
