Tuyen Quang Customs Branch strives to collect budget

Officials of Tuyen Quang Customs Branch focus on implementing solutions to reduce administrative procedures to attract businesses to register declarations at the unit to generate revenue.

By mid-November 2024, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch had collected more than 45 billion VND for the budget, reaching 73% of the assigned estimate. Comrade Khong Manh Cuong, Head of Tuyen Quang Customs Branch, said that the Branch's budget collection in 2024 encountered many difficulties. The reason was that imported coke products decreased, reaching only 24.25 billion VND compared to 83.735 billion VND in 2023. Enterprises in the area had little need to import machinery, equipment, and production lines, but mainly imported spare parts. Some import and export business items such as chemicals decreased in turnover, some items had value added tax reduced from 10% to 8% according to the Government's policy, which also caused a loss in budget revenue...

Striving to achieve the highest budget revenue, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch has implemented drastic solutions. In particular, the unit continues to strengthen administrative procedure reform, modernize customs work, facilitate, shorten time, reduce costs of goods clearance; attract domestic and foreign enterprises participating in import and export activities to register declarations at the unit to create more state budget revenue.

At the same time, promptly resolve difficulties and problems arising with enterprises under its jurisdiction related to customs procedures, tax policies, tax management, accounting regimes, tax refund and tax exemption regimes; promote dissemination to the business community about new policies. Along with that, strengthen the fight against revenue loss through inspection and supervision of customs procedures, tax management, post-clearance inspection, specialized inspection, internal inspection, fighting against smuggling and trade fraud...

In addition, the Department also proactively advises and proposes to the Provincial People's Committee solutions to increase revenue, especially solutions to stabilize old revenue sources and attract new revenue sources; coordinates with departments, branches, and local authorities to review investment projects to proactively guide and support investors in importing machinery, equipment, and materials for the project.

According to the leader of Tuyen Quang Customs Branch, ensuring the revenue estimate of 62 billion VND in 2024 is still a big challenge for Tuyen Quang Customs Branch in the last month of the year when international trade activities are still difficult; demand from partners in Vietnam's major markets has decreased; some businesses have reduced the quantity of imported goods. However, with the spirit of proactively grasping the situation and promptly proposing solutions, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch is striving to complete the State budget collection with the highest results.
