According to initial information, at around 9:30 p.m. tonight (June 2), a fire broke out in an apartment on the 8th floor of CT1 building, C14 Bac Ha apartment building (Trung Van ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi).

According to witnesses, while people were traveling on To Huu Street, from Ha Dong to Thanh Xuan, passing by the C14 Bac Ha apartment building, they discovered black smoke coming from the balcony of the apartment building.

"When I discovered black smoke on the apartment balcony, many people in the building also ran down to the first floor. A few minutes later, the Fire Police and Rescue Force arrived at the scene," said a witness.

After receiving the information, the Hanoi City Police Command Center dispatched 4 fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene. At this time, the on-site fire fighting force used the building's fire protection system to extinguish the fire.

Authorities determined that the fire started from the air conditioner's hot block. There were no casualties in the fire; property damage is being assessed.

Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
