At around 8:12 p.m. on January 9, a fire broke out at alley 136, Ho Tung Mau street, Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
The fire broke out fiercely and quickly spread to 5 temporary shelters with an area of about 300 square meters.
Upon receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Bac Tu Liem District Police deployed 2 fire trucks and 1 command vehicle to the scene.
Due to the fire spreading, 3 fire trucks of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Cau Giay District Police; 2 cars of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Nam Tu Liem District Police; 2 cars of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thanh Xuan District Police and 2 cars of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Zone 2, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of City Police arrived at the scene to support and extinguish the fire.
By around 9pm, the fire was basically extinguished. According to local police, these five temporary sheds were used by locals as warehouses. Initial reports indicate that the fire did not cause any human casualties; property damage is being assessed.
Firefighters are continuing to spray water to cool down, extinguish the flames, and prevent the fire from re-igniting. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
