Musician Trinh Cong Son's grandson no longer feels pressured by his background

(Dan Tri) - The Thien said the biggest connection between him and his uncle - musician Trinh Cong Son - is their passion and innocence when it comes to music, as well as their harmonious attitude towards life.

The Thien is the son of Mrs. Trinh Vinh Trinh (younger sister of the late musician Trinh Cong Son). The Thien's full name is Tran The The Thien, given by musician Trinh Cong Son himself with the meaning "heavenly object in the mortal world".

After a period of incubation, The Thien released the album Tran the on the evening of December 5. Naming the album after his real name, the Gen Z singer partly wanted to express his gratitude to his uncle.

The launch event took place in Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to the presence of about 500 guests, there were also The Thien's father, mother, and brother, musician Nhat The... Born into a family with a father from Hanoi and a mother from Hue, The Thien's meticulousness was formed from a young age, leading to his music being full of different, creative elements and colors.

The album includes 10 songs, including classic compositions by musician Trinh Cong Son such as Diem Xua and Hon Trai (using the sample of the song Mot gioi di ve, with the voice of Trinh Vinh Trinh - mother of The Thien).

The Thien shared that he used to feel pressured under the shadow of musician Trinh Cong Son, but has gradually overcome that. Now he feels extremely proud of his origin.

The Gen Z singer said that before he could not feel Trinh's music, but later on, after having more experiences in life, as well as being allowed by his mother to sing Trinh's music in his own way, he felt a strong connection with his music.

The Thien said the album comes from his own personality and does not intentionally make the audience feel different. As a student of Meritorious Artist Minh Hue for many years, he is confident in his voice compared to other Gen Z singers on the market today.
